Yoga Teachers

“Asana done from the brain makes one heavy and done from the heart makes one light.” – B.K.S Iyengar

Hilde Eiselen

Hilde EiselenHilde’s passion is helping people improve their wellbeing and realise their optimal potential through physical, mental and spiritual development.  She worked as an academic and senior executive in the corporate arena for two decades.  However, the spotlight on left brain only development frustrated her, as she witnesses the burn-out and major health issues that arise from such a narrow focus.  Our intellect is our weakest faculty!

Hilde has a background in psychology and now works as an independent therapist and yoga teacher with individuals and groups in one-on-one, class and workshop settings.  She facilitates groups of employees working on stress-reduction; helps sports teams improve flexibility, and teaches adult yoga classes as well as special classes for men and ladies in waiting.  She has done extensive training and research into nutrition, detox, the theory of exercise, anatomy and physiology and is a frequent contributor to radio programmes. Tune-in on Sunday mornings to “Hilde’s Health Matters”, broadcast on East Coast FM radio around 10.30am.  She has been involved in bringing Yoga for Kids to schools in County Wicklow and is qualified in remedial yoga.

Hilde holds an MBA from Trinity College, Dublin, and is a qualified Mickel Reverse Therapist. She attended her first Yoga classes with Ruth White in the early 1980s in London. She has trained with Ruth, who is recognised as one of the UK's top teachers, for 25 years and qualified at the Ruth White (Karuna) Yoga Centre in London. Hilde is a member of the International Yoga Teachers Association and a Yoga Alliance Registered teacher. She attends regular teacher training courses locally and abroad to keep her teaching inspired and up to date.  She recently studied anatomy and Yin Yang Yoga with Paul Grilley at the Medicine Buddha Centre in California. She is also an accredited YogaBugs (children from 3 to 6) and Yoga’d (children from 7-12) teacher.
