Mickel Therapy

Mickel TherapyMickel Therapy is a revolutionary and proven body-mind approach to healing Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) and Fibromyalgia (FMA). The treatment involves face-to-face consultation with no medication, diet change or need for supplements and is based on the notion that symptoms are complex communications from the body-mind that need to be understood and acted upon. Although Mickel Therapy has been designed specifically to treat CFS, ME and Fibromyalgia, it is also very successful in treating other conditions from a body-mind perspective.

These include:
• Depression
• Anxiety
• Irritable Bowel Syndrome
• Insomnia
• Addictions

An Overview of Mickel Reverse Therapy

Mickel Therapy is a specialised treatment that requires no medication, no special diet or exercise programme and no mineral or vitamin supplements. The treatment consists of face-to face consultations, normally 2-3 weeks apart. Mickel Therapy is based on the insight that the symptoms of CFS/ME/FMA are produced by a dysfunction of the Hypothalamus Gland - 'Hypothalamitis'. Mickel Therapy proceeds by interpreting the nature of the symptoms from a body-mind perspective and showing the client how to apply this knowledge. It is important to note that CFS/ME and Fibromyalgia are physical illnesses based on body-mind learning and although mood eventually tends to be lowered, these conditions are not indicative of depression.

How Mickel Therapy works

Mickel Therapy works by teaching clients about the nature of our body intelligence and how it uses symptoms to communicate with us. By interpreting and translating the message behind the symptoms, MT then coaches the individual to allow the body to stop sending dis-ease messages. Recent advances in Mickel Therapy now involve the use of energetic blueprints, patterns and the use of the individual matrix to generate 'keys for health'.

Our first step is to brief clients so that they understand how 'Hypothalamitis' is created and how the symptoms of CFS/ME and FMA are produced by the condition. This is the main focus of the first session. This part of the Mickel Therapy process can be made easier if clients read Dr Mickel's book on the subject prior to the first therapy session.

We initially work on interpreting and translating the message of the symptoms and then, in most cases, initiate the work of uncovering the matrix and patterns of energy that allow the Mickel Therapist to unravel the 'keys to health'.

Clients are asked to keep short MT notes that record when, where and how often any symptoms occur. This is done in order to elicit more information about the message contained in the symptoms and thus to unravel the clues as to the particular matrix and keys to health. This enables client and therapist to monitor a reduction in symptoms and identify the required next steps toward allowing the body to stop sending symptoms.

SOME KEY INFORMATION FROM THE MICKEL THERAPY WEBSITE

The Basic Ideas
The basic idea behind Mickel Therapy is that the symptoms of CFS/ME and FMA are created by a dysfunctional Hypothalamus gland thus manifesting its physical effects through the nervous, endocrine and immune systems. This is described in Dr Mickel's book on the conditions and he has dubbed the state 'Hypothalamitis'.

Clients & Therapists
Client and therapist start by translating the unconscious messages that trigger the hypothalamus to produce the symptoms. New advances in the Mickel Therapy process now mean that most cases will go on to examine energetic matrices and patterns in order to facilitate the Mickel Therapist in working out the 'keys to health' for the client. The process of Mickel Therapy is designed to empower the client with the resources necessary to understand body intelligence and therefore stop the return of the symptoms in the future.

What does treatment involve?
One-on-one consultations, lasting one hour. Sessions are arranged with a variable interval between them. The average interval is between 2-3 weeks. Treatment length varies, but about 80% of cases will be complete after 6-8 sessions, while the other 20% will take longer. The new advances in Mickel Therapy are shortening this period and improving the statistics. This will be documented on the website and one can also follow the Observational Study being performed independently.

What is the cost of Mickel Therapy treatment?
This will depend on the area or country where you are seeking treatment. In the UK the fee is generally between £80 (€115) and £100 (€150) per one hour session. This is paid at the end of each session.

How can I be sure it will work?
We are confident that Mickel Therapy can work fully in every case of CFS/ME and Fibromyalgia. One reason for this certainty is that we teach you to apply the principles of Mickel Therapy to yourself, thus placing the solution in your own hands. Our results speak for themselves - with an 89% success rate. It is strongly recommended that you read both the following section and the book, "Chronic Fatigue Syndrome ME and Fibromyalgia - The Long Awaited Cure", by Dr David Mickel. This will make the Mickel Therapy process easier for you.

Assumptions of Mickel Therapy
The central assumption is that the symptoms of ME, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and Fibromyalgia (FMA) are produced by what we call 'Hypothalamitis' - which translates simply as 'an inflammatory condition of the hypothalamus'.

The Hypothalamus is situated in the mid-brain where it receives information from the so-called higher thinking centres, the environment and from practically every organ in the body. It relays hormonal information to the body through the Pituitary Gland (Endocrinal system), controls the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) and influences the Immune System. Its main role is to harmonise the body's functions and to maintain the best possible state of wellbeing.

The Hypothalamus uses neurochemical signals through the Endocrine and the Autonomic Nervous Systems. These signals influence most functions including energy levels, sleep patterns, mental alertness, the muscles and skeleton, metabolism, blood flow, the gastrointestinal tract and the immune system.

Because the Hypothalamus is central to regulating a balanced exchange between the internal and external environment, it is extremely sensitive to anything that challenges this balance. Using the Pituitary gland, the Hypothalamus relays neurochemical messages to the Endocrine System, the Autonomic Nervous System and to the Immune System in order to maintain maximum efficiency in relation to the environment. Your Mickel Therapist will use this diagram to explain the way in which symptoms arise.
